The whole site was planned, built, backfilled, and deployed in one day.
The build
Astro 5 with content collections. Each project is a JSON file: name, tagline, summary, status, start date, stack, links. Each entry is a Markdown file with front matter for the title, date, project, type, and summary, plus an optional version, pull quote, and figure. The build renders a page per entry, a landing per project, the board, the timeline, an about page, and an RSS feed.
The four colour schemes are CSS variables on the root element, switched by a small script that reads a saved choice, then the OS preference, then falls back to Darkroom. Each scheme pairs its own heading, body, and monospace faces.
The timeline is the one piece with real client-side work. Filter chips toggle projects in and out, the URL carries the selection so a filtered view can be shared, and nodes slide to their new positions using a first-last-invert-play animation that steps aside when the viewer prefers reduced motion.

The backfill
Six projects, 39 entries, every one read out of git logs, pull request descriptions, design notes, and runbooks in the project repos. Most of the work was deciding what counted as a moment worth an entry and what was ordinary commit noise.
Hosting
A private GitHub repository connected to Cloudflare Pages, which builds on every push and serves the output at trevorpaugh.com. The site was reviewed in a browser against all four schemes and the board, a project landing, an entry, and the timeline before the first push.
