A feed that posts every change fills a channel. A dashboard that edits one message in place stays quiet, but Discord limits how often a message can be edited and answers with error 30046 when that limit is hit.
The design
- One message, edited every two minutes. Pinned in the channel the server chose.
- At most five cards. The Major Order, then the most active fronts. More than five and the message is a wall again.
- Coarse rounding. Rates are shown to the nearest half percent per hour, percentages as whole numbers, and ETAs to ten minutes once they pass an hour. If a new poll rounds to the same card as the last one, the edit is skipped.
The rounding is the trick. Liberation moves by hundredths of a percent per poll, and an honest display would change on every edit. Rounding makes most polls a no-op, which keeps the bot far under the limit without any explicit rate tracking.
On-track outlook
Pull request 16 added an outlook line to Major Order cards: on track, behind, or lost, from a shared helper that compares ETA to deadline. The same helper is used by /mo and by the result cards, so the three never disagree.
Where it stands
The last commit landed on 2026-09-24 at 22:36, with the test count at 369, up from 47 in the scaffold. The project is paused, not finished. The owner delegated merges and deploys during the build, and the bot is listed as discontinued on Kongomax’s projects page.
