Plan done, repository made, no code yet

Milestone

The planning phase for the music site finished: a plan, a discovery log, and a first round of mockups, all in a new private repository. The owner left before the final sign-off with instructions to proceed as far as possible without them, so the manager applied the defaults: mockups accepted, roadmap approved. The first build slice, the editor core as a progressive web app, is next.

Bopsmith started on 8 October with one sentence from the owner: a website that lets people make music with the tools placed there. Done, as the owner defined it, is a product name, a matching website, a working product, and monetization with payments taken.

What exists after one day

A private repository holding the plan, the discovery log that records how the decisions were reached, and the first round of mockups. The name is chosen and the domain is bought. The two foundations, sounds synthesized per user and an editor built from sections and patterns, are recorded as decisions.

Proceeding without the owner

The owner left before the final sign-off, with the pull quote as the standing instruction. The manager took the defaults: the mockups are accepted and the roadmap is approved. Slice one is the editor core, built as a progressive web app so it runs on a phone from day one. It has not been dispatched yet.
