Pricing set: three flat tiers, and the free one is the trial

Decision

The proposed ladder was approved as it stood, minus the founder discount. A free tier with email only, one county, one alert, and a month of search history; a local plan; a regional plan; and a statewide add-on. No introductory pricing. The figures stay out of this history until the pricing page is live.

The flat-tier shape was decided on 3 October. The figures were a proposal, and the plan carried a founder discount for early subscribers as a default. The owner approved the ladder and struck the discount in the same breath.

The ladder

  • Free. Email only, one county, one alert, and a thirty-day window on search. It is the trial: there is no separate trial period, and a contractor who wants to see whether the thing works signs up for nothing and watches one county.
  • Local. A monthly plan for a contractor working one area.
  • Region. A monthly plan for a wider territory.
  • Statewide as an add-on to a paid plan, once the state is covered.

No founder pricing

The one default the owner refused. An early-bird discount would have meant two prices for the same plan and a date after which one of them stopped, which is one more thing for the persona to understand and one more thing for the founder to administer. The free tier already does the job of lowering the first step.

About the numbers

The monthly prices are set. This site records pricing only once it is public, so they will appear here when the pricing page does.
